HOPPECKE PzS + PzSH

HOPPECKE trak with screw-on and fully insulated cell connectors

HOPPECKE trak-meet all requirements of the new VDE 0510.

The batteries feature fully insulated copper connectors. This type of constructions gives protection from external
short-circuits, i.e, additional protection for the user. The screwon terminals are fitted with a plastic cover which
secures against loosening. Another feature is the leakproof, welded cell covers and pole bushings.
Battery acid cannot escape. The cell covers permit the use of water-refilling systems.
The smooth surface of the covers can be easily cleaned so that tracking cannot occur.

The positive tubular plates are manufactured by atubular pocket technology. This system procures a very low
erosion level of active mass. This makes the batteries particularly suitable for applications with cyclic loads.
The positive plates are separated from the negative grinds by special, high-porosity separators.
The negative plates are additionally enclosed by a special plastic non-woven fabric.
This provides additional protection against short circuits due to dendrites and the like.

HOPPECKE trak S and trak S + H with plug-in connectors

The cells of the HOPPECKE trak S and trak S + H batteries meet all the requirements of DIN 43595 for
low-maintenance traction batteries. The conditions of the new VDE 0510 are likewise met.
Both types of cell are equipped with patented pole bushings permit the use of fully insulated plugin connectors.
This unique connector technique provides absolute protection from external short-circuits.

HOPPECKE trak S and trak S + H batteries have leakproof, welded cell covers and pole bushings.
Both HOPPECKE trak S and trak S + H cells can be assembled without tools to make battery units of any size.
The plug-in connector technology permits the quick replacement of cells.
The dimensions of the cells allow installation in all DIN containers.

HOPPECKE trak S and trak S + H are characterised by an optimization of the active mass which means
higher quality. A higher acid density makes full use of the additional energy available. This means an increase in performance of up to 25%. The capacity data for this version shown in the tables from pages 6 onward are
minimum values attained by all cells.

HOPPECKE trak air - for longer operation up to 16 hours

The HOPPECKE trak  air is used wherever intermediate charging is possible and two shifts to be completed without changing batteries.

The advantages of the HOPPECKE trak air at a glance

  • reduction of the charge factor from 1.2 to 1.05 means reduced energy costs of about 15%
  • shorter charging time
  • lower increase in temperature during charging
  • use in up two shifts without changing batteries
  • water consumption reduced by about 75%
  • charging at the place of use is possible (no special charging room required)
  • practically maintenance-free operation
