Hoppecke trak air System

For the charging of HOPPECK trak air batteries, a well balanced range of chargers is available with the controlled characterirtic IUIa accordingto DIN 41 773. The mixing of the electtrolyte in the battery is carried out by circulating air.

The kit for this includes a pump module and the following monitoring units:

  • operating air pressure below limit
  • operating air pressue above limit
  • leak in air line
The air-tube system runs from the charger along the charger cable and past the charging plug to the battrey. The air pump module is switched on at intervals during charging, this being matched to the charging process. When a fault occurs in the air supply system, a reduction is automatically made to a charging factor of 1.2 to protect the battery.

LED lamps on the front panel indicate the diffrent operating states:

  • ready for operation
  • system in operation
  • fault
The charger is automatically switched off at the end of the charging process.

Advantages:

  • reduction of the charge factor from 1.2 to 1.05 means reduced energy costs of about 15%
  • reduces charging time by up to 2.4 hours
  • lower rise in temperature during charging
  • greatly reduced water consumption by about 75%
